POINT #1

Maryland’s primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, this election will be a vote-by-mail election, with limited in-person voting available for those who are unable to vote by mail. Ballots began arriving at mailboxes in early May and will continue to arrive through mid-May.

** Please note that the ballots were printed with April 28th as the date of the election; this is a mistake caused by the abrupt rescheduling of the election**

The Maryland State Board of Elections will automatically mail a ballot to the address that they have on file for you. If you have moved since the last time you voted, have not voted in a very long time, or have never voted in Maryland-- you should visit www.elections.maryland.gov to check and update your voter registration status and address.

If you need to register to vote or update your current address, you must do so by Wednesday, May 27, 2020. And remember, postage on your ballot is prepaid. You DO NOT need to add any stamps on your return envelope. Just fill it out and put it in the mail by June 2nd! Voters who wish to drop off their ballots may do so at designated drop off locations during the early voting period from Thursday, May 21, 2020 through Tuesday, June 2, 2020. If dropping off your ballot, you must do so by 8:00 PM on June 2nd. Again visit elections.maryland.gov or call 410-269-2840 to find out where your drop off site is located.

POINT #2

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS ADVISES SOME PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY VOTERS WERE MAILED BALLOT INSTRUCTIONS IN SPANISH

The State Board of Elections has agreed to mail all affected voters the correct instructions. If voters who were affected by this issue wish to access these instructions sooner to cast their ballot, they can view the instructions online at elections.mypgc.us, or they can call the PGCBOE at 301-341-7300.

POINT #3

To verify your address and voter registration status please visit Maryland’s State Board of Elections website at https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/VoterSearch. If you absolutely must vote in person, you may do so on June 2nd from 7AM to 8PM. To find your Voting Center location visit https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/PollingPlaceResults.
