iMPACT Teen Ministry

Mission Statement: Making young, contemporary disciples who confront the problems of a contemporary world by not being ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Scriptures: Romans 1:16 “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.”

1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”

iMPACT is not just the Teen Ministry at New Vision Church, but it is a movement designed to call out to the city of Bowie and beyond that we are UNASHAMED of the Gospel of Christ. Romans 1:16 tells us, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile” (NIV). Through Biblically based teachings on the first and third Sundays, this ministry will help facilitate the spiritual growth of teenagers.  This ministry also seeks to provide opportunities for teenagers to activate their faith and build a community of peers committed to the call of God on their lives. Ultimately, as the teenagers embark upon this world as young adults they will embody the apostle Paul’s words to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity” (NIV).

 Activities

Outside of bi-weekly teachings (1st & 3rd Sundays), iMPACT activities will include lock-ins, Friday night iMPACT sessions, community service opportunities, field trips and collaborations with other teen ministries.

Sister 2 Sister Women's Ministry

Mission Statement: To bring glory to God by encouraging and enabling women to achieve maturity in Christ that is reflected in their transformed lives, service to one another, and service to the community.

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. – NLT
